When can I start?
You can join our classes at any point! You don’t need to wait until the start of a new term, just come along on the day to register.

What do I wear?
Something comfy that you can move easily in, and won’t get too hot and sweaty in! Sports gear and trainers do the job for most classes, and if you’re coming to the ballroom and latin class shoes with a bit less grip will help you out. You might want to get yourself some special dance shoes later on – you can get shoes for all styles from the studio plus we can give you advice on what you’ll need.

Can mum and dad stay?
Yes – parents can stay at the studio during class times if they wish in our lovely coffee bar area. They’ll be able to keep an eye on you in the studio so make sure you’re on your best behavior!

Is it just for girls?
No! Dance is for everyone and we have mixed classes for boys and girls.

What if I’m not sure what dance I want to learn?
Have a look at our dance styles page where you can find a bit more info on all the different dances. If you’re still not sure, just come along to some different classes until you find the one for you.

Do I have to do exams, competitions and shows?
It’s up to you! Exams are by no means compulsory (you’re dancing to have fun!) but a lot of dancers enjoy doing them and the sense of achievement that it brings.
